Flora

I cannot pass a flower without stopping. It has always been this way. Something about the way a petal catches light, the glorious colour palette that is hard to mimic or the unexpected architecture of a simple seedhead in winter – it simply wont let me walk by.

This collection is the result of years of stopping. Of getting close. And then closer still. Of noticing what most people hurry past. Flora have but fleeting lives. Here today, gone within days, sometimes even hours. The impermanence is part of what makes it so compelling to capture – and part of what makes it worth hanging on your wall.
